Caregivers are individuals who have the skills, education, experience and training to provide in home care to young children, the elderly and persons who are in need of special care.
If you are interested in applying to become a Caregiver, you must have a valid job offer from a Canadian Employer.
Once you have a valid job offer we can submit your application to become a caregiver.
Becoming a Permanent Resident
There are now three ways to apply for permanent residence under the Caregiver Program.
We submit applications for permanent residence on your behalf under the following programmes:
- Caring for Children Pathway
This is a pathway to permanent residence for caregivers who have provided child care in a home. Contact us to learn more about Caring for Children Pathway.
- Caring for People with High Medical Needs Pathway
This is a pathway to permanent residence for caregivers who have provided care for the elderly or those with disabilities or chronic disease in a health facility or in a home. Contact us to learn more about Caring for People with High Medical Needs Pathway.
- Live-in Caregiver Program
This a pathway to permanent residence for live-in caregivers who are already working in Canada with a Live-in Caregiver Program work permit. This is also open to caregivers who are approved for their first Live-in Caregiver Program work permit based on an employer’s positive Labour Market Impact Assessment application that was submitted to Service Canada on or before November 30, 2014.
